Kamijima is floating on the northern side of Okinoshima, one of the Friends Island 4 islands. Kamijima is said to be the origin of Awashima Shinto shrine. Also, long ago, a serpent who was in a Shinja pond, an actor Ennogyoujya got a sword in a sword pond on this island and sealed the serpent. Kamijima is designated as the Type 1 Special Region of the National Park Law National Park and can not land in principle.
